Delete your Sparebite account
You can delete your Sparebite account and the data it holds at any time, from the app or from the web, without contacting us.
In the app
Open Sparebite, go to Settings, then Your data, and choose Delete everything. Type DELETE to confirm. While you are signed in, this deletes your account data on our servers too.
On the web
Sign in at sparebite.com/app, open Settings and choose Delete my account. Type DELETE to confirm.
What is deleted
Your profile (sex, birth year, height, goal and budget settings), every food, workout and weigh-in you logged, your saved foods and meals, and your weekly estimates. They are removed from our servers at once and cannot be recovered. A wallet kept only on a phone or in a browser, without an account, is removed when you delete the app or clear its data.
What is kept
Your sign-in (the email address and password you chose) is a separate record. To remove it too, email contact@codingshadows.com from that address and we delete it within 30 days. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play or the App Store. Purchase records are kept by the store, and by us where accounting law requires it. Crash reports and usage analytics, which never contain your food or weight entries, are deleted automatically within 14 months.
Delete some data and keep the account
Any food, workout or weigh-in can be deleted on its own: open it and choose Delete, or swipe it away. Workouts read from Health Connect or Apple Health can also be deleted there. To keep a copy first, use Settings, then Export, for a CSV or JSON file of everything.
